THIRD FLOOR - C DECK - MAIN DECK - LOBBY

The main lobby is grand and enchanting. It immediately transports you to a different age and location. The floors are done in a gleaming soft rose marble which continues a third of the way up the wall. Above the marble chair rail, the walls are painted a deep navy blue using the Venetian Plaster technique to give the walls some texture. The floor is dotted with plush navy rugs. There is a row of 5 marble columns and a round velvet blue sofa in front of it. The columns are linked together with billows of navy chiffon and satin. There is a grand staircase carved out of the rosey marble with wrought iron work for the banister. The two stair cases curve toward each other until they meet in the middle at a landing. From there, the stairs continue upward to the next floor. The lobby desks were on either side of the room to maintain a better traffic flow as passengers get on and off the boat during check-in and checkout. The ceiling just over the lobby part is a coifered ceiling, meaning it is raised. The ceiling was painted with a mural of a Greek countryside, with subdued, almost washed out colors.

The hallways (on all floors) are a tad different, but still fit into that Greek style. The floors in the hallway are covered with beautiful navy blue carpet and the walls are the same Venetian Plaster in navy blue. The blue is broken up by marble below the chair rail. The occasional art print would break up the monotony of the hallway. The hall is lit by custom made wrought iron sconces. Each room door is bright white with curved recessed panels. The doors almost look like regular interior doors, giving off a homey feeling. However beautiful and welcoming, with the ship booked so low below even half-capacity, the quiet and empty halls can be just a tad creepy at night...

Apollon Grace is a massive, three-level amphitheater, with stadium level seats surrounding a massive stage. Every night is a new show to see, from dancers to circus acts!

Eurycleia's Cafe has a bright, welcoming interior. The walls are lined with windows to let the sunshine in, the color scheme bright and cheery in off-white tones, cheery yellows, and baby blues. Light wood floors give an earthy feeling, the decor out of a Paris cafe. At night they bring the lights down upstairs for entertainers, typically acoustic or solo acts. STAFF: Res ([info]reactionary, occasional acoustic performer), Keane ([info]takeitoutonme, occasional acoustic performer), CJ ([info]cjaustin, occasional performer), Sasha ([info]_herownbeat_, waitress, occasional performer).

Circean Delight is the ship's premier restaurant. It boasts a five star chef and impeccable service. The restaurant itself is a grand room, spanning two floors. There is a stage against on the far wall and when you walk in, your eyes are immediately drawn to the stage. The curtain, a dark brown velvet has a screenprint of the painting Circe Offering the Cup to Odysseus, by John William Waterhouse. The floors are a dark mahogony wood which have been polished until they are gleaming. The tables are round with dark grey linen tablecloths with a smaller light blue linen on top of that, creating a rich layered effect. The linens are a perfect color match to the painting showcased on the curtain.

The centerpiece on each table is a towering pewter vase that has green and purple grapes cascading down. Around the base of the vase are large banana leaves with various cheeses as well as other fresh fruit, such as pineapple chunks, slices of kiwi, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries. The plate settings are unique but in keeping with the theme of the ship and the restaurant. The charger is made of thick pewter on which sits a crisp white napkin folded into the shape of various animals. Tucked under the napkin is the menu for the night. On the flip side of the menu is a brief history of Circe and the painting. The silverware on either side of the charger is heavy but delicate. In front of the chargers are three crystal glasses and a small plate for bread or fruit.

The dining room is broken up by a massive dance floor. The dark parque floors are perfect for dancing. A beautiful large crystal chandelier is suspended over the dance floor. Other, smaller chandeliers are suspended over each of the tables, giving off a soft light. STAFF: Kevin ([info]yeschef, head chef).

FOURTH FLOOR - D DECK

Homer's Study is a warm and welcoming library, giving off an old-world feel, immediately making one feel as if they had stepped into another time. Dark wood paneling lines the walls, intricately carved and decorated with various scenes from the Iliad and the Odyssey As for the books, there is a formidable collection - offering any genre you could ever want! STAFF: Cath ([info]battle_man, librarian).

Gaia is a greenhouse located on the ship, which holds many beautiful and exotic flowers. Against the entrance wall of the greenhouse is a white concrete carved relief featuring Gaia, the Earth Goddess with two small children. Water cascades down the relief and pools in base of the water feature, giving off a peaceful and relaxing sound.

As you enter the greenhouse, along the wall are brochures detailing the types of flowers that are showcased in the greenhouse. The greenhouse is glass enclosed and huge. Moving through the greenhouse you can see roses of every color, large and small calla lilies, pink and white dahlias, plumeria, freesia, moonflower along with many other types of flowers.

One special part of the greenhouse is the Orchid Room. The greenhouse has many varieties of orchids. They are housed in their own room for the high levels of humidity they must have to bloom.

Starbucks, eat your heart out. Cyamites is a massive coffee bar with gourmet selections from around the world. The walls, floors, and furnitures are all decorated in warm tones, lots of earthy browns, and one could easily lose a little time in the welcoming aroma. Attached to Cyamites is a large net cafe, with many public computers lining the walls and up for use! STAFF: Dan ([info]danny_g, barista), Mae ([info]queen_mab, barista).

FIFTH FLOOR - E DECK

Thalia's Diner is a small, homey place, and a flashback to the 50s. Black and white tile line the floors, the tables and seat and stool covers red. Hit up the jukebox full of all your favorite oldies, or take a seat at the counters to watch some TV.

Tyche's Favor is bound to make anyone feel like a high roller. Red carpets, dark woods, and gold accents line the room, with all sorts of games and tables for you to test your luck. Just in case you find yourself needing a little pick me-up, head over to Elektra - a small bar located inside of the casino, decorated in polar opposite colors - black marble floors, silver accents, and blue barstools. No children allowed.

Ossa was the goddess of rumor, and stepping foot inside of her dance club is bound to make you feel like a celebrity. Indulge yourself on the VIP treatment here as you listen to the music and enjoy a full bar. Bright lights flash from the ceiling - and occasionally from the walls. The walls are elaborately painted to depict photographers and paparazzi, watching and talking about your every move. No children allowed.

Bounty of Thetis is the ship's sushi bar! Grab a seat and enjoy.

Further down the oceanview promenade is Sing the Rage, another dance club twice the size of Ossa. Things have a harder edge in here, from the music to the leather decor. Take a trip out onto the massive dance floor, or mingle around the bar and its many tables and lounges. No children allowed. STAFF: Mary ([info]iswithstupid, bartender).

The Cult of Dionysus is sure to work you up to a frenzy. Decorated in dark colors and cool greens and dark purples, Cult of Dionysus looks like a massive bar out of the 1930s. Settle down for a fine meal or a martini in one of the private booths, or take a seat around the stage to watch nightly entertainment. Entertainment acts range across all genres, ensuring something for everybody if you just hang around long enough. Also found in the Cult of Dionysus is a piano bar and a cool jazz club - just in case you don't feel like waiting. No children allowed. Staff: Res and Keane ([info]reactionary and [info]takeitoutonme, occasional rock showcase), Terra ([info]terramartin), bartender), Josie ([info]jostor, bartender).

SHOPS:
Prometheus’s Flame is a relatively small shop that focuses on the selling of candles and aroma therapy. They range in all shapes, sizes, ingredients, scents, styles... They have all the accessories you will ever need as well – holders in all shapes and sizes including lamps and little tea light flowers. And the lighters – oh the lighters. That seems to be the most well taken care of display in the shop. On one wall reside rows and rows of candies and snack foods along with cold soda. The carpet is the color of a swirling flame, red at the core and growing brighter outward. The colors crawl up the wall into a purple-sky color bedecked with glittery stars. The ceiling is painted to look like Prometheus Brings Fire to Mankind by Heinrich Füger. Staff: Phoenix ([info]upfromtheashes).

The Golden Apple is the women's clothing and accessory boutique on the ship, home to chic clothing designed by small name designers. The shop specializes in unique clothing of all styles that breaks away from the mainstream without being too off the beaten path. Want that bohemian look? The Golden Apple has it. Need formal wear for your dinner plans? Got that too. And it’s all guaranteed to be different than what you see in those department stores, while still feeling familiar enough to wear with confidence. There’s no mixing plaid with polka dots in this shop!

The décor stays close to the Greek theme of the ship, while managing to appear a little more contemporary. The floors are the characteristic marble of the ship, and the walls are an off white shade, accented by the golden hue of strategically placed white, contemporary sconces throughout the shop. In the middle of the shop rests a contemporary chandelier to match the sconces and act as the focal point of the room. The fitting rooms, shelves, and cubbies for the handbags and folded clothing all are painted in a sleek gold color that ties the marble into the color scheme. Overall, the shop manages to marry the warmth of antique elegance with the cool style of contemporary. Staff: Lottie ([info]fashionistax).

H Deck, like all the floors, is massive. Half of the floor consists of the guest rooms. Coming out of the hallway that leads to the guest rooms, there are two semi-circle bars made of heavy white concrete. In front of the bars is a smallish stage for the various musical acts aboard the ship. In front of the stage is the first of the pools located on the floor. It is a regular rectangle shaped pool, but tiled in shades of green glass tile. The green glass tile reflects the water and gives it a beautiful green color. There are columns surrounding the pool, spaced 5 feet apart to create a sort of gazebo around the pool. The ceiling is slightly raised over the pool and painted to reflect a sunny day. All around the pool are chaise lounges and chairs with cushions for people to lounge on. The chaise lounges and chairs are a beautiful dark stained teak wood and the cushions are a blue and green plaid.

A set of restrooms, which provide a convenient place to change clothes or shower after a swim, two restaurants, a Pizzeria and a Grill, and a bank of elevators separate the pool area from the Grand Buffet. The Grand Buffet provides a lower-key dining experience for those who wish to remain in more comfortable attire. The Grand Buffet is just that: Grand. It has serving station after serving station of food. The ship tried to cater to a large group of people consisting of many different nationalities by providing all types of food. Many nationalities are represented in the Grand Buffet: American (including typical Southern food), Greek, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, German, and English. There are of course bars for all-day breakfast, fresh fruit, potato, soups, salads, and sushi. Around the Grand Buffet are tables with simple white tablecloths draped over them. The walls and floors are the same rosey marble as in the lobby and there are huge floor-to-ceiling French doors that open out onto the deck of the ship.

The far end of the H Deck holds another pool area. Separating the pool from the Grand Buffet is a restaurant called the Deli, along with more restrooms and elevators. This pool area is a bit more intimate and romantic than the previous pool area. It is completely closed in, but again, with the floor-to-ceiling French doors opening onto the decks of the ship. On either side of the French doors are thin blue sheers that billow gracefully from the breeze outside. This pool is also surrounded by columns, but the columns are wrapped at the top with the same flowey blue fabric the curtains are made from. There is a trellis that connects the columns; the long boards reaching over the pool. A green vine is wrapped around the tops of the columns and the trellis and has very pale lavender wisteria hanging down, creating a feeling of being surrounded by flowers. At night, small white lights strung through the trellis light up the pool area, casing a romantic glow over the pool. The pool itself is tiled with shades of blue glass tile, deepening the water color to a dark blue. Fallen wisteria petals float on the surface of the water, giving it a soft look. Near the far wall are two round spas, which have a waterfall overflow into the pool. Instead of wooden loungers, this pool features small cabanas, which hold a two (or more) person lounger. The cabana material is a blue canvas material that can be completely closed off for privacy if needed.

The crew and staff staterooms are nothing extravegant, but definitely comfortable. Each room has plush navy blue carpet. The walls are painted with Venetian Plaster in a very light champagne/rose color, almost white. When you walk into the room, a little kitchenette is on the right - a small work area that comes equipped with a range (which has a 4 small burners and a small oven) with microwave that doubles as a hood, a small refrigerator under the counter, and a sink. The cabinets are a dark stained wood on the bottom and then frosted tempered glass and dark wood for the upper cabinets. The countertops are a white quartz and the appliances are stainless steel. The cabinets hold basic pots and pans as well as some plates, glasses, and utensils.

To the left is a door that leads into a private bathroom. The bathroom cabinet and countertops match the kitchen. There is a tub/shower combo and of course a toilet. Over the toilet is a hutch-type thing that holds rolled up navy blue towels. The bathroom is done in the same marble that is featured in lobby of the ship.

Down a tiny hallway is the bedroom/living area which is one big room. The dark wood bed is on the wall on the right, the footboard closest to the door. At the foot of the bed is a simple dresser and then a small closet for hanging clothes. On the other side of the room is a matching desk, small sofa and a TV. On the desk there is a phone and a desk lamp. On the walls there are several paintings that depecit Greek art or photographs of Greece.
